Quick Things To Know
What
I’m Ben. I’m a 19 year old from Portland, Oregon. I make a lot of art, and this is where I’m throwing all of it. Pretty much every digital art piece I’ve ever made is here, it’s kinda like a massive in-depth portfolio. Hope you like it. Like it says above, have a look around, there’s a lot to see. OBC
Obligatory Collection is the first random name I thought of when I decided I was going to make an art page back in 2020. It literally has no preconceived meaning to it. I just thought it sounded cool. I know the abbreviation should technically be OC but Obligatory’s a big word and OBC rolls off the tongue better. Check out the Info tab for more in depth info.
Piece Numbering
I initially started numbering each of my art pieces so that when people see it, they are reminded there are essentially that many other pieces that came before what they see now. It’s context for the piece, and incentive to go look at my other art. Now, multiple years into it, the piece numbers add even more emphasis on context for the piece. They identify what era in my progression the piece comes from, which I think adds a more engaging experience, both for the viewer and myself as the artist. The numbers also add a sense of uniqueness when paired with their respective piece. Check out the info tab for more in depth info & stuff like this.
