Explained

Music is probably the biggest thing in my life, and I specifically love listening to albums all the way through. I find that a well-made cohesive project immerses me more than any movie can. In part of this, besides general artistic appreciation, album covers are a staple in my mind.

Although it’s numbered after, the Swimming cover with pink flowers is the first one of these I made. It was a few random edits I thought were cool. But ever since that first one, I tried to incorporate the vibe of the album and artist into the cover, which is why I published the version simply without Mac’s head. I really like the process and idea of bridging the cover to the music.

This series is probably the quickest to make out of most of my art styles. The edits are more minor, as I’m not aiming to remake the cover, but rather “enhance” it. I think of it as putting it through my own personal artistic filter, which is a fun feeling as all the albums I do are ones I’m generally a big fan of.

This is an ongoing series that I continuously add to.
