Explained

Coming to college was weird for my process because I made most of my art in my room in Portland. After a short break, I made #308 and decided to make it a series.

This series was refreshing because it started by taking a Swell Map postcard photo, but by focusing purely on the person in a close up, it gave a new sort of surrealism to the pieces.

As with other works, I then transitioned to focus on celebrities, specifically musicians. I’ve always been a fan of the Rocky and Trav photos, which is why I went that direction.
