Explained

Going into winter break senior year, I made the goal of creating a piece everyday. After messing around and making the third piece, #050 Flavors, (shown below,) I got the idea to use the saturated planet as an eye for someone. This began the portrait series of this winter break journey.

I was very satisfied with the portraits I made back to back, and after making the National Geographic piece as a Christmas present, I went back to the portraits with the Santa piece. I began having a lot of fun creating a look and edginess to them, which I played around with further with #55 No Signal.

This was the first time I had tried applying my skills to the level of every-day creation, and it really inspired me. I was very satisfied with how all of these turned out, and how this series stands alone aesthetically compared to all my other work.
